Copyright & Licensing

The International Journal of Commerce and Economic Studies (IJCES) fully respects the intellectual property rights of authors and is committed to promoting ethical, transparent, and responsible scholarly publishing. The journal recognizes that authorship and ownership of intellectual work are fundamental to academic integrity and scholarly recognition. In keeping with these principles, IJCES allows authors to retain the copyright of their published work, while granting the journal the non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and archive the article in both electronic and print formats.

By granting these rights, authors enable IJCES to disseminate their research widely, ensure long-term accessibility, and maintain the integrity of the scholarly record. This includes the right of the journal to host articles on its official website, distribute content through academic databases and indexing services, and preserve articles through digital archiving systems and institutional repositories.

By submitting a manuscript to IJCES, authors formally confirm that their work is original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors also affirm that their submission does not infringe upon the copyright, intellectual property, or moral rights of any third party. This includes responsibility for ensuring that all text, data, figures, tables, images, and supplementary materials included in the manuscript are either original or used with proper permission and acknowledgment.

Authors are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable copyright laws and regulations. Where third-party material is used, authors must obtain written permission from the original copyright holder prior to submission and clearly credit the source within the manuscript. Any failure to secure appropriate permissions may result in manuscript rejection or post-publication corrective action.

The journal does not require authors to transfer copyright ownership; instead, it operates under a non-exclusive publishing agreement that balances author rights with the journal’s responsibility to publish, disseminate, and preserve scholarly work. Authors retain the right to reuse, distribute, and share their work for academic and non-commercial purposes, provided that proper citation and acknowledgment of IJCES as the original publisher are included.

IJCES takes allegations of copyright infringement seriously. If any copyright violation is identified before publication, the manuscript may be returned for correction or rejected. If a violation is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, remove infringing content, or retract the article in accordance with ethical publishing standards. All such cases are handled with fairness, confidentiality, and due process.

Through its copyright and licensing policy, the International Journal of Commerce and Economic Studies aims to protect authors’ intellectual property while promoting open access, responsible use of scholarly content, and global knowledge dissemination. This approach supports academic collaboration, enhances research visibility, and upholds the ethical foundations of scholarly publishing.
